Cereal Bar
  • 3 cups dry cereal (oatmeal, barley, wheat germ, wheat or corn flakes, etc.)
  • 2 1/2 cups powdered milk
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (white or brown)
  • 1/2 package citrus-flavored gelatin (Jello or similar)
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons water
  1. Place all ingredients (except gelatin) in a mixing bowl and mix well.
  2. Combine the water and honey and bring to a boil.
  3. Dissolve the gelatin in the honey water mixture.
  4. Add dry ingredients and mix well.
  5. Add additional water a teaspoonful at a time until the mixture is soft enough to mold.
  6. Make into blocks about 2 x 2 x 1 1/2 inches.
  7. Makes five blocks.

    Each block provides approximately 400 calories and will keep indefinitely.

Note: I Have been told that this bar did not work, so I really do not know because I have not tried it, if you do and it works please let me know, or if it doesn't work I would appreciate knowing that also.
