Cut the bacon in about 1-inch pieces and fry in skillet until crispy
set
aside.
Slice the onions and sauté the onions in the bacon drippings.
To that ADD:
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 cup cider vinegar
Cook covered for about 20 minutes
Then you can either pour all of this in a crock-pot with:
2 cans lima beans, drained
1 can dark red kidney beans, drained
1 large can B&M brand baked beans
Cook for several hours on low and then add in the crispy bacon and
serve.
OR
Put all ingredients in a Dutch oven and bake 1 hour at 350 Degrees F.
