stir in undrained tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste,
and seasonings;
bring to a boil;
reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
Boil noodles while meat sauce is simmering.
Cheese filling:
Combine egg, ricotta (or cottage cheese if you prefer), 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese and parsley.
Layer 1/2 of the noodles in a baking dish;
top with half of the cheese filling;
top with half of the meat sauce;
top with half the mozzarella cheese;
repeat layers;
sprinkle with remaining parmesan cheese.
Bake at 375 degrees for 30 - 35 minutes.
