Buster Bar Delight
NOTE: Prepare Top Layer first, and cool to room temperature.

Bottom Layer:

  • 1 lb. Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • Press evenly into a 9" x 13" pan
  • 3/4 cup roasted peanuts
  • Sprinkle evenly over and press into cookie mixture.
Middle Layer:

  • 1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream, softened.
  • Spread evenly over bottom layer.
  • Top Layer:
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups evaporated milk (one 12-oz. can)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup margarine or butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  1. Mix together in sauce pan and bring to boil.
  2. Boil 8 minutes.
  3. Stir constantly during all cooking.
  4. After Top Layer is cooled to room temperature, spread it evenly over Middle Layer of ice cream.
  5. Freeze at least 3 hours, or overnight.
