Fried Sweet Potatoes
This is a recipe for pan fried sweet potatoes with butter flavored Crisco™.

  • 2 pounds large sweet potatoes, sliced 1/8-inch thick
  • 4 tablespoons Butter Flavored Crisco™
  1. eat Crisco™ in a large heavy skillet.
  2. When hot, add the sliced sweet potatoes.
  3. Cover and lower heat.
  4. After about 5 minutes, uncover and turn the sweet potatoes with a spatula.
  5. Cover and continue to cook until tender, another 5 minutes.
  6. Check frequently to make sure the potatoes don't burn.
  7. Uncover and continue to cook for a few minutes, to glaze the potatoes and brown.
  8. Serve hot.
