Pour into greased 8 or 9 inch tube pan or an oblong pan works well, too.
Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.
While cake is still in pan and hot, pour the hot topping over it. (note, I take a fork and punch a few holes in the top for the topping to run down into the cake.)
When completely cool , remove cake from pan.
Topping
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup margarine or butter
Combine all ingredients and cook for 2 and 1/2 minutes.
Pour immediately over cake in pan.
