Lemon Wings
From:Helene Prior
  • 2 LB Chicken Wings (cut into 2 segments).
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder.
  • 1 tsp Sugar.
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper.
  • 1 tsp salt.
  1. Combine above ingredients and marinate for 20 minutes to 1/2 hour.
  2. Coat chicken with coating mix (below).
  3. Deep fry chicken in HOT oil until done.

COATING:

  • 2 Cups Self-rising Flour.
  • 1 can beer or 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 Cups Water.
  • 1/2 tsp Salt.
  1. Mix into paste and coat chicken before deep frying.

LEMON SAUCE

  • 1 Cup Pineapple Juice.
  • 1/4 Cup Vinegar (white).
  • 4 TBS Sugar.
  • 1 Whole Lemon - Slice 1/2 of Lemon, Juice the other 1/2 Lemon.
  • 2 TBS Corn Starch.
  • Salt to taste.
  1. Mix Lemon Sauce ingredients together and stir constantly while cooking until sauce bubbles and slightly thickens
  2. Pour Lemon Sauce over pre-cooked Chicken just before serving.
