Homemade Strawberry Ice Cream
From: Lula Burch
  • 2 (3-3/4 oz.) packages instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups whipping cream
  • 2 pints frozen syrup
  • 4 (10 oz.) package frozen strawberries, thawed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  1. Prepare pudding by directions, chill to set.
  2. Beat eggs till light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in sugar, whipping cream and pudding.
  4. Stir in Strawberries, vanilla and 1/2 teaspoon red food coloring.
  5. Freeze in ice cream freezer.

    Makes about 2 quarts.
