Pepper Steak
From:Alfred T. Billips
  • 1 1/2 lbs. steak
  • 1 medium bell pepper (chopped)
  • 1 can onion soup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup catsup
  1. Cut steak into serving size pieces.
  2. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  3. Dip in flour.
  4. Brown quickly in Crisco oil.
  5. Place steak in saucepan, adding onion, water, soup and catsup.
  6. Simmer on low for 45 minutes.
  7. If steak is not tender, cook longer.
  8. Add bell pepper 15 minutes before removing from heat.
  9. Serve on hot rice.

    Serves 4
