My Mom's Bread Pudding

  • 8 cold biscuits
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1-cup sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons melted margarine
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Crumble biscuits in large mixing bowl and set aside.
  3. Combine milk, melted butter, sugar and cinnamon.
  4. Pour milk mixture over crumbled biscuits.
  5. Stir well.
  6. Bake in buttered 8 by 10-inch baking dish at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven and cover with Bread Pudding Sauce. See recipe below

Bread Pudding Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons sifted flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (or 1/4 teaspoon lemon juice, depending upon taste preference).
  1. Combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly.
  2. Cook over medium heat until sauce thickens.
  3. Serve either hot or cold.
