Crockpot Steak
From: Vickie Simpson
  • 6 small round steaks
  • 1/4 c flour mixed with 1Tbsp seasoning salt
  • 3 Tbsp oil
  1. Dip steaks in flour mixture and fry until brown on both sides in hot oil.
  2. Drain well put steaks in crockpot

add

  • 1 small chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup baby carrots
  • 1 small chopped green pepper
  • 1 cup diced potatoes.
  • Mix 1 jar Heinz brown gravy with 1 can condensed mushroom soup
  1. pour over steaks
  2. add salt and pepper to taste
  3. a pinch of curry powder and ginger.
  4. Add a little meat tenderizer mix up real well.
  5. Add enough water too cover all.
  6. Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 4 hours.
  7. Do not let steaks dry out.

    This makes a rich good gravy, its kind of like beef stew except the steaks are left whole.

    Serve with crescent rolls and it's a complete meal.

    You can experiment with the spices
