Put all ingredients except beef into a food processor with a steel blade.
Process on pulse till all are combined well.
Add dried beef, and process till beef is shredded.
Pour into a buttered 9" pie plate and top with 1/2 cup chopped pecans.
Drizzle with 2 T melted butter.
Bake at 350 for 20 minutes.
Serve warm on Triscuits.
COMMENTS: Even though I now live in Murphysboro, IL, the three years
I spent in Lexington, KY are quite memorable.
The above appetizer was served frequently at parties and picnics,
and has become a favorite in Southern Illinois.
