Beer Battered Cat Fish
  • 3 lb. catfish
  • 1/4 cup cornmeal
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 12 oz beer
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • oil
  • salt & pepper to taste
  1. In medium mixing bowl blend flour, cornmeal, salt and pepper
  2. In a separate bowl beat egg well; add beer and minced onions and mix well
  3. Cut the fish into 2 inch cubes or strips.
  4. Heat the oil to 375 degrees.
  5. Roll the catfish in the flour mixture then dip in beer-egg mix then back into the flour.
  6. Place dipped catfish into the oil and fry to golden brown.
