Carl’s Hawaiian Rice
  • 1 box Rice-A-Roni (beef flavor)
  • 1 1/2 pounds jumbo shrimp *
  • 10 green onions
  • 6—8 eggs
  • 3 Tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 cups water

    *If you don’t have shrimp, you can use bacon —my dad always used bacon since he didn’t want to buy shrimp

  1. Place rice in large pan.
  2. Put 2 Tablespoons butter in with rice and cook until rice is brown.
  3. Add the water to the rice with the beef flavoring.
  4. Cover and let simmer at low heat until water is gone.
  5. Fry the shrimp in 1 Tablespoon butter and garlic powder until golden brown.
  6. Slice green onions into small pieces and fry until onions are soft.
  7. Scramble eggs and cook with green onions until eggs are done.
  8. Mix all ingredients into large bowl and serve.
