Quick Pudding
From:Nelson and Confederate Cookbook from 1863
  • 4 eggs
  • pint of milk
  • a little salt
  • 4 large spoons full of flour
  • sprinkle of nutmeg
  • sugar to taste
  1. Beat up eggs
  2. add milk and rest of ingredients
  3. Mix well and pour into buttered teacups, filling them rather more than half full.
  4. Bake in moderate oven for about 15 minutes or until well set.
