Henrietta's Creamed Corn
From:Faerie (Phelps, Ky.) Pike County
  • 1box frozen corn or 2 cups of corn off the cob
  • 1 heaping tbsp self rising flour
  • 1 small can cream
  • 1 tsp salt
  • pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp sugar
  1. Boil corn in about 4 cups water
  2. While it's cookin', put flour and cream in a bowl and use a wisp to mix it real good. Don't leave any lumps in there.
  3. Start dipping the cream mixture in your corn a little at a time and stir constantly.
  4. Keep adding cream mixture until your corn is as thick as you want.
  5. Dump in salt and pepper and sugar.
  6. Stir well.
