- 1 c. butter
- 1 c. white sugar
- 1 c. powdered sugar
- 1 c. vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
- 4 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- nutmeg
- sugar
- Cream butter, sugars and oil together in large mixing bowl; add eggs.
- Beat until smooth.
- Add flour, salt, cream of tartar, soda and vanilla.
- Mix well.
- Refrigerate dough over- night.
- Form into walnut-size balls; place on greased cookie sheet.
- Flatten cookies with glass dipped in sugar and nutmeg mixture.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes.
- Cool on rack.
