Sweet Potatoes
  • 8 lb lard bucket of sugar
  • 4 lb lard bucket of water
  • Boil syrup until thick and it strings
  • Drop potatoes into syrup
  • Cook until you can stick a fork in them
  • take out of syrup and place in jar
  • pour syrup over potatoes and seal.
