Quick Fruit Bowl
  • 14 oz. can sliced peaches or apricots, drained, reserve juice
  • 14 oz. can pineapple chunks, drained, reserve juice
  • 14 oz. can pears, drained, reserve juice
  • 12 oz. can mandarin orange sections, drained, discard juice
  • 14 oz. can grapefruit sections, drained, discard juice
  • 15 Maraschino cherries, halved
  • 2 cups reserved juices, plus enough water to equal if not enough juice.
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  1. Place sliced peaches into bowl.
  2. Add pineapple chucks
  3. Slice pears to desired size and add.
  4. Add orange sections
  5. Add grapefruit sections.
  6. Add Cherries
  7. Toss
  8. Stir reserved juices, cornstarch and sugar in sauce pan.
  9. Heat and stir until it boils and thickens.
  10. Cool
  11. Stir into fruit
  12. Add more drained fruit, if desired.

    Makes 5 cups.
