Candied Bourbon Sweet Potatoes
  • 6 large sweep potatoes
  • salt
  • paprika
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons bourbon
  1. Peel and cook the potatoes in boiling water until tender.
  2. Cut the potatoes into 1/2 inch slices, and place in a greased casserole dish with a 1/4 cup water.
  3. Sprinkle the potatoes with salt, paprika, brown sugar, and lemon juice.
  4. Dot with butter, bake uncovered for 20 minutes at 375 degrees F.
  5. The last 5-10 minutes of baking pour the bourbon over the potatoes.
