BACON AND WATER CHESTNUTS
  • 1-pound bacon
  • 1 (8oz) can whole water chestnuts
  • 2 cups catsup
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  1. Cook bacon just a little.
  2. Cut each piece in half.
  3. Put whole water chestnut on half-pece of bacon and wrap bacon around water chestnut.
  4. Use toothpick to hold bacon.
  5. Lay in casserole.
  6. Make sauce by mixing catsup and brown sugar.
  7. Pour over water chestnuts and bake at 350 degrees about 1 hour or until bacon is done.

    Do ahead of time, then you can warm in microwave.
