PIZZA SNACKS-A Make ahead recipe
  • 2 lb. hot sausage
  • 1 lb. Velveeta cheese
  • garlic salt (several shakes)
  • oregano (approximately 2 teaspoons)
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 pkg. party rye
  • tomato sauce
  • Parmesan cheese
  1. Cook sausage well; drain.
  2. Return to pan.
  3. Cut up Velveeta, melting over sausage.
  4. Mix cheese, sausage, garlic salt and oregano.
  5. Spread 1 heaping teaspoon on each slice of party rye that has been placed on cooking sheet.
  6. Pour 1 teaspoon pizza sauce over each of these.
  7. Sprinkle all snacks with Parmesan cheese.
  8. Freeze on trays.
  9. When frozen, place all snacks in Ziploc bags (for storing).
  10. To eat, cook frozen snacks on cookie tray for 10 minutes at 400 degrees.
