Chocolate Roll Away Balls
  • 2/3 cups sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 2 cups pecans or black walnuts, ground I use black walnuts
  • powdered sugar
  1. Cream sugar and butter, add vanilla
  2. Add flour, salt and cocoa to butter mixture
  3. Blend in nuts
  4. Refrigerate at least 6 hours
  5. Roll into balls about the size of a walnut
  6. Place on ungreased cookie sheet
  7. Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees F.
  8. Let cool for 5-10 minutes
  9. Roll in powdered sugar
