Remove giblets and rinse turkey thoroughly with cold water
Pat dry
sprinkle cavity with salt
Tie ends of legs to tail with string
Lift wing tips up over back so they are tucked under turkey
Brush turkey with melted oleo
place on a roasting rack, breast side up
Insert meat thermometer in breast, making sure it does not touch bone
Bake at 325 degrees until thermometer reaches 185 degrees, about 4 1/2 hours
If turkey starts to get too brown, cover lightly with aluminum foil.
When turkey is 2/3 done, cut the sting holding the legs to the tail.
This will let inside of the thigh cook.
Turkey is done when drumsticks are easy to move up and down
