The book we have been working on for so long is finally finished. We received it from the publisher on 14 April 1998 and it is available for immediate shipment.

The book is 825 pages, 8.5 x 11 format, printed on acidfree paper with a very durable cloth hard-cover. The cover is blue with gold lettering on the front and spine. All Coldirons whose ancestry we have traced in the past 25 years descend from Johan Georg Kalteisen (George Coldiron) who came to America in 1750 from Goppingen, Wurttemberg, Germany. After starting his family in Berks Co., PA, George moved his family to Rowan Co., NC in ca. 1767. His son Conrad moved from Rowan Co. to Ashe Co., NC, and then settled in Harlan Co., KY in about 1808. Included in the book is a descendants chart of JGK's 6,100 descendants and their spouses we have identified to date. Also included are 2,000+ Family Group Records of every family with children (many of which include notes about the family), life stories of 124 individuals and families, cemetery records of 400+ Coldiron descendants detailing where they are buried, and much more! 14 maps identify early Coldiron migration paths and the locations of the early Coldiron properties in N. Carolina and Kentucky. The 42 page index includes the names of all descendants and spouses.
