Our clown ministry debuted on June 25, 2000 at the Cumberland United Methodist Church in Cumberland, KY. I had a hard time deciding on a clown character and name. I was first JellyBean and then SunnyD but did not like either of those, for myself. I finally settled upon Bucketta, since my father's nickname is Buck. Bucketta was a problem for our pastor because he has a difficult time with double t's so I went with Buckles, which I think sounds more like a clown.
