Will’s Brownie Decadence
  • 1 cup butter
  • 4 squares unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips or shaved white chocolate (use premium white chocolate)
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 cups premium chocolate chips
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups chopped, toasted pecans
  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Prepare a 9 x 13 baking pan by greasing with butter or using cooking spray.
  3. Melt butter in large saucepan.
  4. Over low heat, add unsweetened chocolate & stir until chocolate is melted.
  5. Remove from heat; mix in sugar .
  6. Add eggs & vanilla and stir until incorporated.
  7. Add flour, baking powder & salt; stir just until flour is mixed in.
  8. Gently stir in white chocolate.
  9. Spread mixture in prepared pan.
  10. Bake 30—35 minutes just until brownies begin to pull away from the sides.
  11. Remove from oven and let cool completely.

While brownies are baking, prepare the ganache topping.

  • Over low heat in a medium saucepan, bring heavy cream to a boil.
  • Remove from heat & add chocolate chips.
  • Let sit for a few minutes to melt chocolate.
  • Stir until melted.
  • Let mixture cool & thicken, stirring occasionally for about 20—30 minutes.
  • Spread ganache over cooled brownies.
  • Press chopped, toasted pecans into the ganache.
  • Let ganache harden & cut into squares and then into triangles.
